Dr. Laurie Montcalm

Dr. Montcalm grew up in Tecumseh, Ontario. Her interest in healthcare developed at a young age. First, as a co-op student working at the University of Windsor Biology lab and then as an employee and research assistant at a local physician’s office. In June 2003, she received her Bachelor of Science in the Honours program, from the University of Windsor. Dr. Montcalm received her optometry degree in 2008, from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago. During her externship year she received the Clinical Excellence Award and worked closely with optometrists and ophthalmologist seeing veterans, adults and children of all ages.

Currently, Dr. Montcalm works at both East Riverside Optometry and Belle River Optometry. She is also a member of both the Ontario Association of Optometrists and the Canadian Association of Optometrists. Dr. Montcalm is a dedicated professional, passionate about educating her patients about eye care. She truly enjoys the day to day interactions with her patients. When she is not caring for patients she is busy raising her young family.
